Building Windows 7 SP1 reference image with convenience update rollup RRS feed

  • Question

  • Now we have this Windows 7 convenience rollup update package. When creating Windows 7 reference image with MDT should I add this update rollup as a part of task sequence or slipstream it drectly to source wim? Slipstreaming would make the installation faster but any pros / cons?

    # Specify the path
    $destDir = "C:\image"

    # Check if the folder exist if not create it

    If (!(Test-Path $destDir)) {

       New-Item -Path $destDir -ItemType Directory

    }

    else {

       Write-Host "Directory already exists!"

    }

    Dism /Mount-WIM /WimFile:"$OSLocation\install.wim" /index:1 /MountDir:C:\image
