Applocker : Do laptop users are allowed to run app when they are in home network (disconnected from Corporate network)

    Question

  • Hi All

I am going to block the chrome from a appblocker via GPO but there are few laptop users who logs in weekend and needs access on Chrome.

My Query is,  since we have applied the GPO for Corporate network but not for home network so weather chrome will run or block in home (when disconnected from corporate LAN) or always be block at home and office both.

    Regards

    Ajaz

  • No, the GPO will be applied at all time.  Also be aware that AppLocker policies only work on Windows Enterprise edition even though it's listed in GPO on professional.

  • Hi,

Basically, the group policy would still apply except the users log in with the local account. If they has the local account then they would be able to use the chrome.

    Best Regards,

    Elaine
