    Question
When trying to download any app within the Windows store I keep receiving the error message, "Your purchase couldn't be completed: Something happened and your purchase couldn't be completed". I am connected to the internet and signed into my Microsoft account. Is this a common error others are experiencing? Error code 0x800705aa

  • Hi,

    "Your purchase couldn't be completed"

Something, this error appears when the Windows Update is not running background, so please run services.msc, check the serivce, please make sure that the Windows Update service is running, not disabled. Meanwhile, set Windows Firewall to "Automatic".

Run wsreset.exe to clear the windows store cache, test this issue again.

  • I had the same problem with my apps store. To solve it all i did was go into My Account and sign out and back in again (using change user). It works fine now :) (no need to download anything :P )
