KB2775511 Rollup RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Having read that this applies to Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 SP1 clients, I was wondering - is it still worth installing on Windows 7 SP1 clients if the servers they authenticate to are Server 2012 boxes?

    Thanks.

  • Hi,

It is better to install the updates to fix Windows issue. In addition, this one is for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 according to the following KB:

An enterprise hotfix rollup is available for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

  • Hi Carey,

The issue I'm unsure of (hence the forum post), is whether there are any components within this rollup package, that work in conjunction with other components specific to Server 2008 R2. If they do, then I didn't know whether those elements may have become deprecated since the launch in Server 2012, therefore I wouldn't need to worry.

  • We found this update caused an issue with SharePoint 2010 timer service recycle. Watch out for that.

  • There is absolutely no link on that page to download the rollup, it's just information.
