Microsoft 8.1 & 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I bought a HP Pavillion X2 late last year with the 8.1 operating system.  Over the past couple of months I kept getting a Microsoft messaging advising to upgrade to Microsoft 10 which I, after numerous notices, clicked and let the system upgrade the program.  However, ever sense my computer hasn't been working properly.  For instance on Facebook and other sites, such as ESPN, when I open them the open pages consistently open and close (or blink in rapid succession).

I took my computer to the local HP service center think it was a computer problem; however, they advised that it wasn't that other computer owners have visited them and made similar complaints.  What can I do to erase the Microsoft 10 product and revert back to the original 8.1 program?

    Thank you

  • Hi Rick,

So your current Operating System is Windows 10, right?

Did you use the Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge to access those website, like Facebook?

You could reset the Windows 10 installation to reinstall all apps:

    Recovery options in Windows 10

If it doesn't working, you could use the Media Creation Tool to create the recovery media to repair your Windows 10 installation:

    Download Windows 10
