Error installing Terminal Services Licening Role in Server Manager RRS feed

    Hi,

    I am having a problem installing the Terminal Services Licensing Server Role.
    When I add the role through Server Manager, it starts to install and then errors saying
    "Installation Failed" and "The Server needs to be restarted to undo the changes."

    Below is the Server Manager Logs that are logged. At the very bottom it errors Saying

    "2284: 2009-06-09 10:30:19.587 [Provider]                  C:\Windows\system32\ServerManager\Cache\CbsUpdateState.bin does not exist.

    I have searched the internet and haven't been able to find anything relating to this.

    Hi James,

    The posted information from the log file is not enough to determine the problem. To have more insight into the cause of the problem have a look at %windir%\Logs\CBS\cbs.log

    Can you send me whatever error message you find in cbs.log?
