Office 2010 BPoS Microsoft Exchange Server reported error 0x8004010F object could not be found RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi - recently upgraded to Outlook 2010 running against BPoS Exchange Server and receiving the Microsoft Exchange Server reported error 0x8004010F object could not be found - have switched Account Settings / Download address book to 'no details' and unchecked Download entirely, but still same problem.  Any fix?

  • My first thought would be that the user is set to be hidden from the Address Book.

If you are running Directory Sync and have the Exchange schema extensions applied, check the attribute msexchhidefromaddresslists for the user object in local AD.  Make sure this is set to False, either wait for DirSync to run again or force it to sync, and then retry after 15-30 minutes.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, open a Service Request and a support engineer will be happy to assist you.

If it wasn't difficult, it wouldn't be fun, but why's it got to be this much fun.
