Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter with Provider load failure Error RRS feed

  • I'm attempting to convert a Windows 2008 physical Server to virtual server using the Microsoft Virtual Server Converter 3.0 tool and I get an error at the the convert disks stage. It says Provider load failure. In the event log of the source server I see

    The root\mvmcp2v namespace is marked with the RequiresEncryption flag. Access to this namespace might be denied if the script or application does not have the appropriate authentication level. Change the authentication level to Pkt_Privacy and run the script or application again.

  • I think I know the problem. I'm running into it too. My machine I'm running it from is encrypted. Is that the same setup you have?
