problem with Microsoft system attendant

Hi We have just upgraded our exchange from 2003 to 2010.

Now I am trying to export the mailbox Audit reports that we enabled in 2010 but keep getting this error:

Cannot open mailbox /o=t/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=TEXMB910287/cn=Microsoft System Attendant.

I see that the system attendant account is still sitting in our old 2003 exchange server but could not move that account to 2010 how should I deal with this account to be moved or created in exchange 2010 because I can not find it in 2010.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

System attentant is a system account - ie it is specific to the server. You do not move it to another server. For Exchange 2010, the system attendant mailbox is no more - it has gone.

Thanks for the reply but what can be the problem then? what you see in the question is what I get as an error when I try to export the report.

Hi Tony,

How did you setup and export the audit report? What is the error recorded in the Event log?
