How clean FCS a infected file? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

In my organization are many *.rtf files (over 2000). I`m very worried because if a virus infect this files i`m not sure how FCS clean this files. In my policies i turned off the option delete files in quarentine.
Therefore, what are the actions that FCS will take?
    1. Put this files in quarantine.
    2. Delete this files.
    3. Others

    Thanks.
    Regards.

Answers

  • Hi!

I would not be concerned with .rtf files. I have not heard of a virus that infects a text file.
The action that FCS will take on an infected file depends on the type of malware detected. The default action for the malware is defined in the definition file.

    Hope you sleep better now
