Windows 2012 R2 client not updating

Question

Hello,
We have an issue with one of our Windows Server 2012 R2 clients. Two months ago this server suddenly stopped syncing with our corporate WSUS server with error code 80244007. During this time I tried several things to resolve this issue including re-naming SoftwareDistribution folder, re-registration of Windows Update dlls according to MS TechNet article and patching WSUS server which is also 2012 R2 fully patched at the moment. In the WindowsUpdate.log the latest records are:

Hi Sir,
It seems that WSUS server is working for other clients without any issue ,right ?
If yes , I'd suggest you first check if that server 2012R2 WSUS client was installed KB2919355 which upgrades windows update agent to latest version .
https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=2919355
If the issue persists , please try to change value of key "maxCachedUpdates" in web.config file (change default value to 28000 ):
C:\Program Files\Update Services\WebServices\ClientWebService\web.config
(stop IIS service --> backup and move web.config out --> change value --> move it back --> start IIS service)
Then test again to see if the issue persists .
Best Regards,
Elton

Have you try this update on client?

Yes, I did. This update is not applicable for Windows Server 2012 R2. Only for Windows Server 2012. As far as I understand in Windows Server 2012 R2 this fix is included in one of the regular commutative updates. And our server is fully patched up to the November.
Btw updating directly from Windows Update and not from WSUS server also fails with the same error code.

Nikolay
