  • Hi Harlock,

Can you please try agent refresh, even if the agent is already in OK state, and then try to create protection group?

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

ID 319 is when the Firewall is not configured properly.

ID 347 is when there is a Pending Reboot.

In the Agent machine, uninstall Agent coordinator from the Add\Remove Program if it has been installed already, reboot the server & then retry installation.

NOTE: For Win7 client, you need to do disconnected agent installation.

  • i did see the 347 was a pending reboot, i don't think that the boxes in question need a reboot, but i will reboot them off hours to see what happens.

like i said there is no firewall enabled. i did read about a hotfix for 2008 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975759 would that be related to the 319?

    thanks

  • after many reboots i got it to deploy on 2003. working

2008r2 came back with a failure with id 349 which there is no info on.  ended up doing a manual install, seems to work ok.

2008 has no firewall yet comes back with id 319.  did a manual install, exchange 2007 sp3 rollup 4 is on there but the dpm console won't let me set protection on it claiming i need exchange 2007 [rtm] rollup 4

  • Hi,

Did the DPM agent install successfully in the Exchange machine?

Try an Agent Refresh from the DPM UI to check whether the status is shown OK.

Then try creating the Protection Group.
