  • Use a two-column table, with the date in the first column and the paragraph in the second column.

Keep the tab character between the date and the rest of the paragraph, but remove all the other tab characters and paragraph marks that break up the paragraph. Then use Table > Convert Text To Table and make sure to choose Tab as the separator character -- that will produce the two-column table. Drag the border between the columns to adjust their widths. Finally, turn off the table borders.

  • I GOT IT. Thanks

as an aside, can you explain when the hanging indent behaves that way.  it seems to act as i would expect, until i get to line two

  • Jay,

why does hanging indent act that way.  it would be alot easier if i just allowed a paragraph to indent as one piece
