Project Sites (Project Server 2010 settings) RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi thanks in advance for looking into my query..

It is related with Microsoft Project Server.

My question is if we can change the Site URL?

To view where Site URL appears.

Please log onto your Project web app.

    Click on server settings.

Under Operational Policies, click on Project Site Provisioning Settings.

Now can you please let me know what will happen if I change what I see next to Site URL?

I doubt it will change the PWA URL itself.

    Am I right or wrong.

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg982977(v=office.14).aspx

    please check this url.

I am not sure what will happen if I make changes to “site URL”

  • Hi,

As you are referancing to the Project Site yes you can change the site URL. This will happen only for the selected project site. It will not change the PWA URL itself.

    Take note of this:

    Edit Site Address

Edit Site Address lets you edit the destination URL for a project site to point to a new site address. Changing the site address information breaks the existing link between the project and the existing project site. You can then enter the information for the new project site.

    Hope it helps.
