I'm working on a solution for windows update's en driver update's on HP machines ( Desktops, Laptops en Servers ). Now I know that windows update's will work with Wsus but how about Drivers is it possible to update these.
Some drivers, yes; however, the process is fraught with a lot of undesirable complications, and the best solution really is to get the drivers from HP directly, and install them from the console.
Using WSUS, you would select the update classification "Drivers", which will synchronize about 40,000 driver update packages to your WSUS server. If you're lucky, the one(s) you want are in that collection; more likely, though, theya are not.
If they do happen to be there, they'll show up in your list of "Needed Updates" in the same way you identify other updates that are needed. Approve them and they'll install just like the other updates.
