'550-Message refused by spam filter

    Question

  • Hi guys,

    in our organization we are using Exchange 2013 latest build, we pick up the emails using our POP 3 connector from the domain registra  and send usining our ISP Smarthost using port 25 because port 587 never works.

    lately every emails we sent its bounce back with the warning '550-Message refused by spam filter |

    Can you please advise how to fix this irritating issue ?

  • Hi,

    According to the error "550-Message refused by spam filter", it indicates a spam filter has blocked the message from reaching the recipient.

    You could check internet header of the mail. In Outlook, right click the mail and choose options, you could find the SCL value followed to an item "X-MS-Exchange-Organization-SCL:"

    To prevent the e-mails being blocked, you may consider the following methods:  Change the Spam Confidence Level Thresholds to ensure this kind of e-mails is allowed by the Content Filter .

    our ISP has a honeypot on our ip , now we are set they took us off that.
