My browser default instance is IE5, not able to play mp4 videos in browser using video tag RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I am having a video tag used in a simple html file and i am trying to open that html in IE but it is not opening.

    The same file is working in Chrome.

    Kindly help me out to resolve this.

    Also my default IE version is IE5 how i can make it IE 9 or above as all the versions are installed in my machine. Having Windows 10 OS.

    Based on your description, you mentioned that your default IE version is IE5, but I noticed that your system is Windows 10, since the default version build-in Windows 10 is Internet Explorer 11. It made me very confused, would you please post a screenshot and tell us more details?

     

    In addition, since video tag is only support in HTML5, however,  Internet Explorer 5 doesn’t support HTML5. Refer to the link:

    For Internet Explorer 9, if the video fails to play, please check the compatibility settings. Refer to the link:
