MS - Excel 2013 Issues RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    Greetings.

I am using MS Excel 2013. I am facing the below problems in it.

    1. In Excel 2013, when i try to open a excel file with formulas, the formulas are changing into “#VALUE!”.

    2. In Excel 2013, when i try to open a excel file it is showing unknown path instead of the original path of that excel file.

Both this are working fine  in Excel 2007 and 2010.

    Thanks in advance.

Please update me the solution ASAP.

    Regards,

    Karthik.

  • Hi,

As for the formulas show #VALUE! instead of formulas, please refer to the following link to check the issue.

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/excel-help/correct-a-value-error-HP010342330.aspx

As for the unknown path, start Excel in safe mode to check whether the issue is caused by some add-ins.

  • Hi,

    I tried this one.

Still i am getting #Value! error in excel 2013.

But the same formula is working fine in Excel 2007.

Please update me the solution ASAP.

The link (http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/excel-help/correct-a-value-error-HP010342330.aspx) which you gave is applies to Excel 2010. But i am looking for Excel 2013.

    Regards,

    Karthik.

  • Start Excel in safe mode is working fine.

But the #value error is a problem.

Please update me the solution ASAP.

    Regards,

    Karthik.

  • If it works fine in safe mode, then disable the add-ins to check.

  • Some of the formulas have changed from 2013 to 2007, what formula is the issue?

    Is this true!?!

Have MS broken compatibility between Excel 2007 and 2013.  Say it ain't so!!  I've just had a report of the same problem, I don't yet know what formula is involved... but if true this could be a real problem.

[update - in the case that came to our helpdesk, the root cause of the problem was not formula related.... the problem was between the chair the keyboard]
