IIS admin and World wide web service gets disabled automatically after installing APP-V 4.6 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I have installed APP-V 4.6 in Win Server 2008 standard. It is working properly but some time IIS admin service and World Wide web service is automatically getting  stopped and disable state. It is not a time specific issue, between 1-2 days gap it re-appear. I checked the logs but did not find any error. Found only one Warning in Application log,

"The description for Event ID 0 from source AtBroker cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

GetSessionValue Failed to Open session value return error 2"

     PLease help...

Answers

  • Hello,

Doesn't atbroker.exe come from CA AV suite? If the only error you are seeing relates from their software  - why not open a support-case with CA?

If else, why not locate what atbroker.exe is?

  • What else is installed on that Windows instance? Are there any Windows updates being applied overnight? What Group Policies are being applied?

  • Thanks for the reply, windows updates and group policy is standard for all the servers, other servers used for SCCM, DC etc are functioning as expected, facing problem with this server only.
Also this server is ddedicated for APP-V only, I have installed SQL 2008, APP Management Server and APP Streaming server in this server.
