    how can i find or show start and finish date for Split bars (one or more than once split) in Microsoft project?

    with formula or vba or etc ...

    The dates of some splits that result from out-of-sequence progress updating are shown by the task Stop and Resume fields.  In general, however, these dates are properties of the individual SplitParts of the task, which are only accessible through vba or other code.  The two dates in your example can be printed (in the Immediate window) using the commands:

    print activeproject.tasks("task1").SplitParts(1).Finish

    print activeproject.tasks("task1").SplitParts(2).Start

    You could use similar statements to write these values into task custom fields.  

    Be careful.  SplitParts task collections often grow or shrink as the result of progress updating or resource leveling, and your code will need to be able to handle this.  Good luck, tom
