    I am trying to do a series of installations with the end result being a Python 3.61 and gmusicapi utility to search for and eliminate duplicate music files. 

    I am NOT a pro and am concerned about the safety of the choices from which to download bash.exe.

    Suggestions for a safe site?

    Well Settings > Apps then Program and Features (top right). On the Control Panel\Program and Features screen that opens Turn Windows features on off. Then low in that list Windows Subsystems for Linux (Beta). That enables Bash On Windows (needs a reboot). No need to download from external sites.
