Resource Planning for Multiple Project Plans in the Organization RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to link multiple MS Project plans together to do resource planning? Currently in my organization, we have no way of knowing how much a resource is allocated to any given project(s) without opening up each project plan one by one and viewing the resource's allocation (and adding them up between all projects).

  • Hello, I am assuming you are using project standalone and not in a project server environment. If that is the case, look at using a shared resource pool as described here: http://ntrajkovski.com/2012/01/06/sharing-resources-among-projects-with-ms-project-2010-part-1/ Paul
