BSOD tcpip.sys Bug Check Code 0x0000001 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Have gotten five BSODs since 5/25 - four of them since 6/1. Minidump files are at:

    https://1drv.ms/f/s!Aj2M7kEaRKlmgRstM4YcezK_QNqU.

Took me a few hours just to change permissions on those files so I could upload them - so you might guess I'm not super tech savvy. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how I can fix it?

    Thanks so much!!

  • Hi Alatea.

The .DMP files reported a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (0x000000D1) bug check, which indicates an attempt to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high; this is usually caused by drivers using improper addresses.
Since tcpip.sys is a Windows module file, check the "System" and the "Application" logs in the Windows Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver that is causing this bug check; also look for updated versions of your network cards' drivers and install them if available.

    Bye.
