I have one server that is failing to connect through to the SCE server. This is our webserver and as such the firewall is more strict than normal. I have checked that all the correct ports are open, it is a member of the SCE Managed Computers group, and rsop shows that the correct settings are being applied. However, in the SCE server console, the standard "not yet contacted" error message appears. The windowsupdate.log fails has numerous failure points all with the above code. Researching on the internet has not yet provided any working solutions. The common theme for this error is that the clock is not synced. However, it is set correctly. I did have some crypt32 event-id 8 errors in the application log. I removed the root certificates update option from windows components in case this was relelvant, but still get the same problem.
