I was disappointed to realise that SQL server 2012 requires .NET Framework 3.5 as a pre- requisite.
Downside of this is windows 8 and windows server 2012 ship with .Net Framework 4.5
SQL server 2008 R2 and SQL server 2012 both require .Net Framework 3.5 to install .Net Framwork 3.5 is easier to install on windows 8 on windows server 2012 you will need the installation disk and go through add server features which is annoying.
If the latest version of SQL Server required the latest version of the .Net framework as a pre –requisite everything would be a lot simpler I would like to see next version not requiring .Net Framework 3.5.
