Question

Hallo,
I am new on App-V. I understood that I must Sequencing an new Application (e.g. Office or Word...) by hand.
What should I do if a new patch needs to be installed?Does the package by hand to be renewed after a new patch is available?

Hello,
Yes, adding a patch will have to be done by a manual process. (aka sequencing with an entire new package or an upgrade)
There is no integration to any patch-management tool.

As others said, you have to update the package by hand (theoretically, running Sequencer in command-line mode could work but let's not get to that) but the good thing of course is - assuming you use streaming-based deployment of the packages - that you do it once to the central package and each client receive the changed delta automatically (it's called Active Upgrade with App-V). So with things like Microsoft's products, it's only a one-time in once-a-month procedure ;-)
