  • Hi Hemal_P,

Please ensure the columns from the Excel 2007 workbook is not more than 231. Because 231 is the maximum column number to import data from the Excel 2007 workbook to the WSS 3.0 list.

                                 Microsoft Visual Basic
System error &H80004005 (-2147467259). Unspecified error

This behavior may occur if an ActiveMovie control has been added to a Microsoft Visual Basic user form in Excel workbook. These files cannot be saved in normal format after an ActiveMovie control has been added to a user form.

Try the workaround in this KB.

  • I never heard about WSS 3.1 please give more details about your environment. What is WSS version? Is it installed on 32 bits or 64 bits OS?

  • 1. Try to import small spreadsheet to confirm the size is not the issue.

    2. Try to import the spreadsheet from another workstation.

    Do you use Office 2007?
