  • I have a computer with the following specifications

    Windows              : Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate X64

    Memory (RAM)    : 8141 MB

    CPU Info              : AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor

    Motherboard        : MSI 970A-G43

    Display Adapters : AMD Radeon HD 7700

    I have installed the Edius 5 software .

    Edius 5 install following Pakages :

    microsoft visual c++ 2010 x64 redistributable - 10.0.30319

    microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable - 10.0.40219

    microsoft visual c++ 2005 redistributable

    I get the following error message when trying to run Edius

    c:\Program Files (x86)\Canopus\Edius 5\Edius.exe

    application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect

    I received the following message in the application event log

    Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Canopus\EDIUS 5\EDIUS.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC90.MFC,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.21022.8" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

    and install this packages

    Microsoft visual c++ 2005 redistributable (x64)

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

    But the installed packages has not solved my problem.
