Gantt chart display in project center doesn't match project schedules? RRS feed

  • Hi there,

    Please provide more information... what is correct? Project or PWA? If project is correct, publish the Project/s again from Project Pro and make sure the jobs are successful then recheck PWA.

  • We've done all that.  It's not a matter of publishing but is a matter of how Project calculates this data.  Simply, out of the box they are showing different things.  From my perspective, this is bad design by MS.

  • Project server does not recalculate when you publish a project, so the details in the project client will be reflected in the server once published.  If you edit a project in PWA, then the scheduling engine is more limited.

    You could put a bit more effort into your posts and descriptions if you really want an explanation. Duration calculations are mysterious to even the most experienced Project user, so without real data and setup information to chew on, you're not going to get very far with this line of questioning.
