Disable Skype for Business autostart RRS feed

  • Question

  • Customer wants to disable SfB autostart using GPO. Customer wants to know where is the option, which is presenten in SfB GUI as "Automatically start the app when I log on to Windows"

    Troubleshooting done so far:

    1.  Created GPO, which delete registry entries in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, but entries back after computer restart.
    2. Deployed bat file using SCCM. Script deletes the same entries. Result is the same as in first solution - entries back after computer restart.

    Please suggest.

  • Hi Tarique A,

After you configuring in the GPO, do you run gpupdate /force in the client machine?

Someone told that this method would not work in certain VDI scenarios. Are you in VDI scenario?

It works well when we unselect the Personal option "Automatically start the app when I log on to Windows" or delete the registry entry in each client machine.
