When attempting some searches for SharePoint, I noticed that it does not perform partial word matches. So innovation does not bring up innovations.
Is this how it should work or is there someway to override this??
You can set on the Search Core Results web part the "Enable Search Term Stemming" option under "Result Query Options" section. This will "stem" the term you are looking for to plurals or other very similar forms.
k...looks like i need an asterisk at the end of the word....but really, is that necessary in this day and age? Is there some way to override this behavior so that by default it does a partial search anyway so that all relevant results are returned?
