Error 26004 after Monitoring Lync2010 Server with SCOM 2007 R2 . RRS feed

    After installing  Lync 2010 SCOM Management pack I have found error on  Lync 2010 edge servers

    The alert, Event ID 26004 from source Health Service Modules as below:

    triggered every 13 minutes and states that the Windows Event Log Provider is unable to open the Office Communications Server (OCS) event log.

    Any idea?

    It’s a Lync 2010 Management pack bug, all what you need to do is:

    1. Open regedit on the Edge Server.
    2. Navigated to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\eventlog key.
    3. right-click on the eventlog key and selected New > Key from the pop-up menu.
    4. Name of the new key Office Communications Server.
    5. Restart the Health Service.
