Approve or Deny popup details RRS feed

  • Question

  •  When the Azure MFA settings have been setup to allow the Approve/Deny popup why is there not more details about where the MFA request is coming from? Currently it is only showing the country from where the request is coming from, can it not be more specific?

My biggest concern about using this method is that if a hacker has a users credentials and triggers an MFA auth request and a popup appears on a user's phone that just says "United States", how is the user supposed to know whether it is a legitimate request?  I would assume that the majority of the time that the user will blindly approve that.

Are there any plans to provide more details on the approval request popup?

  • +1 when you've got multiple devices (laptop, phone, ipad etc) that need to authenticate at different times it's difficult to konw if it's a legit request or not. Please provide more details on which app, device, IP address, date/time etc of the request much like the Duo App does.
