unable to login to Skype RRS feed

  • Hi experts one of my user is not able to login to Skype when he is connected to our companys wifi network on his iphone.
    but he is able to login from his mobile network. plz guide me to troubleshoot. he is getting below error.

    Please check whether you could use this user’s account to login another mobile device in WiFi, the mobile device is all OK in the WiFi and 4G for other accounts. If this user account also can’t login in the WiFi environment, it may the account issue. I suggest you could disable this user in the Skype for Business Server Control Panel, then re-enable this user, check whether fix this issue.

    In addition, you could try to use another account to login this user’s mobile, if have problem, it may the device or Skype for Business Client issue.

  • Hi Risingflight,

    In your environment, if all users have this problem, we suggest you could check the configuration of internal DNS, you need to add an A Record for external web services FQDN, and the record need to point to Reverse Proxy public IP address. Adding this A Record is to proxy to Lync Server Web Service.

    If only one user has this problem, we suggest you could try to check whether set some special policies for this user. You could run following cmdlet to check: Get-CsUser -Identity user. In addition, you could also check the client on user's mobile.

  • Most corporate networks block Skype since they use Lync (Skype for Business). Check the Wifi router > Firewall Settings. Most probably skype is blocked for all IPs.

  • only this user is having issues not any other user, with the same wifi other users are able to connect to SFB
