return to IE 8 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows 7, 64 bit.  This computer really ticked me off by installing IE 9.  How do I get back to IE 8?

My searches always get back to a Microsoft download page and the english version for IE8 does not have Windows 7 listed.

  • BTW:  from this page:

I followed the instructions to uninstall IE-9.  There are 105 items listed and IE-9 is not one of them.

No, it wasn't there either.  I did find an option Programs and Features -> Turn windows features on or off. In there is an option to enable Internet Explorer 8, but nothing to uninstall.  After making the selection, a reboot was required.

Thanks for taking the time to post.
