winpe Boot status : 0x0000001 A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed RRS feed

  • Hello everyone,

I use 5 Windows 2012R2 VM with MDT 2013 and WDS on 5 different location.

The deploymentshare is replicated by DFS in read-only mode for all remote location.

Since i updated the boot image i had a "windows boot manager" error status : 0x0c0000001 except for my main reference site when i try to boot on winpe.

I had to change tftp option and uncheck "variable windows extension" option in the WDS server properties.

I guess this issue is due to tftp block size or the boot image became too large.

Do you know what incidence there is to uncheck this option and what are other solution to solve the problem.

    regards,

  • Have you installed the March updates from Windows? These give issues with WDS see my topic.

  • I have installed the March updates too and I had the same situation.

    To solve I remove KB4489891 or KB4489881.
