  • Good morning,

    I upgrade with a lot of problem. It was not possible to remove WSUS 3.2 after the upgrade from 2008 R2 to 2012 R2.

    I remove all the folders and the IIS role. Then add WSUS 4, IIS, ... Reconfigure everything.

    It was not easy but it's now working :-)

    Best regards

  • Hi user_007,

    1. How do you upgrade the server from 2008R2 to server 2012R2, if you did a in-place upgrade and do not backup the WSUS settings before upgrading, then, you need to install WSUS server from scratch;

    2. WSUS server 3.2 is on server 2008R2, WSUS 4.0(6.3.9600.X) is on server 2012R2, so, if you are install WSUS role on server 2012R2, then, it is WSUS 4.0.

    Best Regards,

    Anne
