    I downloaded the 2010 trial version of sharepoint. My pc is compatible with the required specs ( windows 7, 4GB ram, 80GB HDD). However the setup did not run successfully. However my office package is 2007. Is it because of that that Sharepoint 2010 is not working, or what are the other possible issues? How will I solve this issue and get sharepoint on my pc?

    The installation on Windows 7 X64 isn't as simple as running the setup from the trial version.  I have a detailed walkthrough on my site of how to install SharePoint on Windows 7.  You can find it here:

    Having Office 2007 installed on the PC shouldn't cause an issue.
