Can't install Nvidia Geforce GT 730 driver on Windows 7 Home

All replies

  • Hi,

What error messages pop up when you install the driver?

You can go to the website of your computer manufacture to find the Nvidia driver for you, which is based on your hardware. Since the drivers provided on the website of the computer manufacture are more compatible with os. The graphics card manufacture may update the drive and I am not sure the stability of using it.

    Best regards,

    Vivian

  • Hi,

    Yes, you can.

NVIDIA supports a driver of GeForce GT 730 for Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit.
Please go to NVIDIA's driver page http://www.nvidia.co.jp/Download/index.aspx?lang=us
and click "Show all Operating systems" on Operating System,

and download a driver (Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit, according your Windows architecture).

You can know which architecture is your Windows 7.
[Start] > Right click on [Computer] > [Properties]

Check [System Type] (32-bit or 64-bit)

  • Hi,

What is the model of your computer?  You can help us collect the setupapi.dev.log, which is located at

    C:\WINDOWS\INF\setupapi.dev.log

    C:\WINDOWS\INF\setupapi.app.log

You can try a few steps to help you narrow down the issue:

1.Boot into Safe Mode and install the driver.

2.Log on with another account to have a try.
