2016 October Patches RRS feed

  • Hi everyone,

    I'm not sure it's only me or it happens to someone else, too.

    We had several workstations hanged on "Stage 2 of 2" screen more than one hour after installing October patches. I had to manually power off them, and restarted to get back login screen. After that, I checked them and it seems that all patches installed successful.

    I spent hours to Google it and tried to find if there are anything issues with October patches without any luck. Is there anyone has the same issue as me? I try to find out it's just isolated issue or issue with October patches because all of our workstations(around 8000) will be installed October patches next Wednesday. If the same thing happens to them, then I will be in trouble.

  • There are other reports of the same so you're not alone. I've not seen any resolution though. Opening a support case is your best route to handle this.

    Apparently though, if you simply press ctrl-alt-del, the login screen shows up and everything is fine like the screen showing the progress was just stuck being displayed.
