  • Swaroop,

The user's with admin and approve permissions should be part of admin or site owners group, and the user's who add's an item to the list should have the read and write permissions an should not be part of the group with admin rights.

The functionality of the list item can be only visible to himself and other approvers group can be achieved by going the list settings --> advanced settings --> in the item level permissions under read access select the option <label for="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_ItemLevelSecuritySection_ctl08_RadReadSecurityOwn">Read items that were created by the user instead of </label><label for="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_ItemLevelSecuritySection_ctl08_RadReadSecurityAll">Read all items for reference check the below link                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     </label>http://sharepoint.microsoft.com/blogs/GetThePoint/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=58                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Thanks,

  • hi swaroop,

For your custom list you can able to set permissions from the options available in the Ribbon. From that you can set permission to the Group or users whome ever you want to allow to view your custom list.I hope it may help to solve your problem.

    Thanks & Regards, Krishna
