Please help for POSReady 2009 distribution by sysprep RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I need to have a POSReady 2009 master disk setup by sysprep in order to distribute for multiple devices. There are only two requirements:

    1. Bypass the product key input during user 1st run.
    2. Setup an auto log on account so once the 1st run user setup done and reboot, the auto log on will take place and start our application under that account.

I research a bit for the requirements, it seems #1 can be done by sysprep.inf with ProductKey= under [UserData]. But the #2 seems need ICE to create unattend.xml with section like:

    <AutoLogon> <Password> <Value>*PASSWORD*</Value> <PlainText>false</PlainText> </Password> <Username>*USERNAME*</Username> <Enabled>true</Enabled> <LogonCount>1</LogonCount> </AutoLogon>

But the problem is there is no ICE under POSReady 2009, right? So would the unattend.xml still support by sysprep under POSReady 2009? If yes, how can I create unattend.xml?

    Thanks in Advance!

  • On POSReady 2009 you must use FBRESEAL rather than SYSPREP to avoid the Product Key requirement for the user Out of Box Experience.
