how to reload a language pack from Windows Update? RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Windows 7 I loaded a languagepack (KB967828) from Windows Update.
But it failes all the time to install.
Now I think the file is corrupt, because download failed a couple of times.
Windows Update starts immediately to install this file without re-downloading.
My question now is: How can I re-download this file?

  • lvankooten,

What you'll want to do is delete the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder, then restart the machine. This will erase any corrupted Windows Update temporary files.

  • Ivankooten,

Go to the Windows Update Catalog and search for it.

  • Thanks for the answer,

Sorry, but KB967828 cannot be found, also not the requested Dutch Language Pack for Windows 7 64 bit

Personally i think i will need to do a correction in the registry, but cannot find it.
