this suggests it should have become available on 7th November 2013.
But like you, I can't find it either.

I've emailed the IEblog team, asking them why.

  • IE11 for Win7: GA on Nov 7, announced for WSUS on Nov 14 on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894199/en-us , available on Nov 22.

But never mind. The next WSUS fail is already happening.

.Net Framework 4.5.1 has been announced for Win7 per WSUS but is also not mentioned in the content change list yet.

  • It would have been nice if in all of the many webpages where people say just to search WSUS for Internet Explorer 11 and then approve it, that they said that it could be added to WSUS in the first place by using an "Import Updates..." link on the right hand side when you have selected Updates on the left hand side.

Then it could be found standing out from all of the dictionaries that show first by clicking the size column, seeing that it sorted smallest to the top and then clicking the size column again, sorting the largest to the top, revealing the actual IE 11 installers.

  • Hi!

Does anybody know if IE11 for Windows Server 2008 R2 is available in WSUS?

Because a customer told me that they can find the update just for Windows 7 in WSUS but not for 2008 R2.

    Thanks in advance.

It is listed in the MUcatalog - it should also be in WSUS, do you have the correct Product and Classification enabled in WSUS?

or search in WSUS for this UpdateID
