The microsoft assessment and planning toolkit is a great tool as long as you already have an enviroment but what about if you are actually Planning a New Enviroment? Why doesnt this tool take that into account? There used to be excellent planning tools out
there but it seems micrsoft has either removed these or put them in the partner only section so microsoft and partners can charge for this service. If thats the way you want to do it then fine please let us know though.
Yes, MAP is intended to evaluate an existing environment. There are numerous books, websites and other resources out there that can advise you on planning a new environment.
