Hi ,

I am installing Exchange 2010 on Vmware Virtual Machine to monitor exchange services and exchange components i am planning to deploy SCOM 2007 SP2 Exchange Management Pack.

My question is that SCOM Exchange 2010 Mangement Pack supports exchange 2010 in Clustered Environment.

If not please guide what is the alternate procedure to monitor.

If yes please refer me to any document so that i can goahead and implement the same.

Hi Venkat -

The Exchange 2010 management pack will detect your Exchange 2010 cluster just fine.

Here is a reference on the management pack itself:

Here is a report from an Exchange 2010 customer that the management pack discovered their clusters OK:

Simply install an OpsMgr agent on each mailbox server and make sure that Administration -> Device Managment -> Agent Managed -> Security -> Agent Proxy setting on each cluster node is permitted is allowed to act as a proxy.

Hi John,

Thanks for the infromation.

I have one more query is that Exchange 2010 Management Packs will work if exchange 2010 is installed on Vmware virutal machine.
