Exchange Monitoring service crash RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am regularly getting these messages on multiple exchange 2010 servers. Are there any logs associated with the service?

The Microsoft Exchange Monitoring service terminated unexpectedly.  It has done this 1 time(s).  The following corrective action will be taken in 5000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Answers

  • This is a windows service that ships with Exchange itself and is not related directly to your operations manager monitoring.  If it is restarting successfully and you are not seeing any outages, it may be benign.  You may want to take that question over to the exchange forum.
