Server 2012 R2 Essentials Office 365 Integration Fails RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to get my Essentials 2012 R2 server to integrate with Office 365 but I keep getting this error.

"There was an issue configuring the integration

    An unknown error occurred

Make sure that the computer is connected to the internet, and then try again.

If you continue to experience this problem, restart the server and then try again."

Internet access from the server works fine, I am not sure why it is not working. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Ok, for some strange reason after the 5th reboot I was able to finalize the integration. Not sure what was going on but seems to be working now.

  • Have you tried rebooting the server and then trying O365 Integration again?

  • Yes, several times, and the server is fully up to date.

  • Disable both Office 365 Integration  and the Microsoft Azure Active Directory integration in Dashboard | Home | Services.  The ‘Integrate with Microsoft Office 365’ option should then be available in the Services section so you can start again.

  • It never completed the integration so I could not have disabled it.
