Performance Point: Issue with analysis Data source RRS feed

  • I am getting an error when trying to connect to the Analysis Services Data Source through Performance Point Dashboard: It says the unattended account do not have permission for this DataSource.

    But for testing I added my own credentials as unattended account having access to that datasource. Even then why am I getting issue with the permissions?

    Are there any other special properties that unattended account should have other than access to that database?

    And my account is System Account..Is that going to cause a problem?

  • Hello,

    Do you have your Secure Store Service key generated?  Here is a link to setting up PerformancePoint Services, which covers generating your key for the Secure Store Service: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee748643.aspx and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee836145.aspx

    I would also check that your Unattended Service account has permissions within Central Administration - Application Management - Manage Service Application - PerformancePoint Service Application.  Highlight on PerformancePoint Service Application - select Administrator in the ribbon - and add Unattended Service Account and mark Full Control.
