Hi Amit,
if you have experience with Visual Studio 2008 and VB.Net, it could be a good idea to just do the Visual Studio 2008 exams. (Esp. if you want to target the MCPD Windows Developer 3.5 which does not include the ADO.Net and WCF certifications. In 2010 exams you need these, too)
2. You just get the MCP after 70-536 and the 70-505 will give you an MCTS certification (when you have the 70-536).
3. I am a little confused now. You have experience with vb.net - so maybe you want to stay on that language? The exams can be done with vb.net or c# so there is no requirement to switch to c# just for the exam. The Self-Paced Training kit is great and I used it myself to prepare for this exam. Just make sure, that you really follow the practices inside and play around a lot so you get deep experience (where you got something new. At least I found some topics that I never used before.)
4. You already got the link for the 70-536 exam: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-536&locale=en-us. Skills Measured is the source, that I know that could be used as a syllabus.
5. I had no problems with going through the self paced training kits and I also used a practice test at the end just to feel comfortable (MeasureUp / SelfTestSoftware offers these).
With kind regards,
Konrad

Hi Amit,
that is just a list of other certifications, that need the 70-536 as prerequisite. There is no need to get all these certifications but if you want any of these, you need the 70-536.
So all you need for your MCPD title are:
- 70-536
- 70-505
- 70-563I hope this clarified it a little bit.
With kind regards,
Konrad

Hi Amit,
there are no official lists of questions of Microsoft exams and they are illegal. Maybe it is possible to get these "Braindumps" somewhere, but they do not really help in my eyes. I try to explain my point of view:
- When you use braindumps to learn for a certificate, then you do not really learn the content. You can answer exactly these questions but you do not know the knowledge behind. You cannot use it to solve any problem.
- We will not help you with that, because that is something that could hurt us. Imaginge people doing the exams through braindumps and then go to interviews where people will see you, an MCPD, but unable to answer simple questions. What will they say? "MCPD? Fuck off - they are worse than all beginners!" So certified people are not interested in others ruining the view on the certificate. (We had something like that when the german government decided to give thousands of unemployed people trainig courses to become Administrators. No background knowledge but through trainings they was able to pass the required exams. In the end, this certification wasn't worth much in my eyes and the eyes of a lot of colleagues)
I never saw any braindump for a Microsoft certification, so I cannot judge them. I can just judge the braindumps I saw in the past: They are not value a single penny if you really want to learn the content. If you do not care about the content of the exam and just need the certification because of some stupid management decision: Maybe it is worth thinking about it.
The practice exams I know (both MeasueUp and SelfTestSoftware) are great. They point you to available documentation so you can read deep details. That really helps you to understand areas where you lack important knowledge! And the practice tests are like the real questions!
With kind regards,
Konrad

i will give exam in c# language,
one more thing will c# 2008 Professional by christian Nagel, bill evjen Wrox will be helpfull to clear this Exam or MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit is sufficient enough
Thanks for ur answer.

Both books together should be ok. But be sure to really play around with the technology described in each chapter so you really understand the details.
With kind regards,
Konrad
